Does work regularly takes you into Birmingham city centre? The city’s Clean Air Zone is worth thinking about when you’re choosing your next van. It operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year, on roads within the A4540 Middleway.
Vehicles that don’t meet the required emissions standards may have to pay a daily charge. For vans, the minimum emissions standards are generally Euro 6 for diesel and Euro 4 for petrol. Not every used van will meet those standards, and age alone isn’t something we’d rely on to tell you whether a particular vehicle is exempt.

Birmingham’s Clean Air Zone operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year within the A4540 Middleway. Vans that don’t meet the required emissions standards may be subject to a daily charge.
